Chris has over 20 years experience as a psychologist. He has an interest in individual and relationship counselling. He enjoys working with people to change long term patterns and to empower their transition to a healthier self awareness, stronger relationships and a healthy and balanced life-style. He works with a diverse range of issues including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, trauma, work/life balance, self-esteem and relationship issues.
Chris is trained in a broad range of therapeutic approaches to ensure he can tailor counselling to each person’s individual needs. Chris works predominately from an Emotionally Focused perspective. He recognises the role emotions play in decisions and life choices and encourages a better emotional understanding of self and behaviour to foster change. He is also trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. He also uses more creative therapeutic approaches when appropriate to assist with growth and change.
